Health Savings Account (HSAs)

Northwestern Bank's Privileged Status ATM/Visa Check Card is the ultimate card for qualified customers. It's an ATM card that works like a check!
Use it like an ATM card for 24-hour banking convenience at cash machines around the country. Tired of paying that annoying $2 fee whenever you use your ATM Card? At Northwestern Bank, our Privileged Status ATM Card allows you access to thousands of ATMs nationwide without that annoying $2 surcharge. Just look for the pink and black privileged Status logo on the ATM machine, or click on the Privileged Status logo to see the complete list of FREE ATMs, wherever you are. The Privileged Status ATM Card is FREE to Northwestern Bank customers!
Use it like a check at restaurants, gas stations, convenience stores or any other retailer who accepts Visa Check Cards. With the Visa Check Card, purchase amounts are automatically subtracted from your checking account...just as if you had written a check.
- No charge for transactions completed on Northwestern Bank cash dispensers located at the Orange City and Sheldon offices. Security National Corporation member banks ATM transactions are also free of charge.
- Three transactions per cycle on terminals other than Northwestern Bank’s are free of charge. Each additional transaction is $.50 (listed on statement as Transaction Fees, Non-NB ATM).
- When you use an ATM not owned by us, you may be charged a fee by the ATM operator (or network used). You may be charged a fee for a balance inquiry even if you do not complete a funds transfer.
- No ATM transaction fees apply to Simply Free and Premier Checking Accounts if the average collected balance is $2,500 or more. The average daily collected balance is calculated by adding the collected balance of the account each day and dividing that figure by the number of days in that period.
Lost or Stolen Cards? Call your Northwestern Bank location immediately. After hours call Shazam at 1-800-383-8000, then notify your Northwestern Bank location the next business day.
Lines of Credit
Our Personal Reserve Account (PRA) is a line of credit available upon credit approval. Loan funds are advanced in $100 increments to your account to cover checks you’ve written. An account maintenance fee of $20.00 is charged annually.
Overdraft Protection Service (OPS) provides overdraft protection to customers who maintain both a checking and savings account. In the event your checking account becomes overdrawn, transfers in increments of $100.00 will automatically be made from your savings account to your checking account. If sufficient funds are not available in your savings account, normal overdraft fees will apply to your checking account. An authorization form must be completed and approved before taking advantage of this service. A $5 fee per transfer will be assessed to your account, which will appear on your statement as Transfer Fee. Savings account transfer limitations and normal excessive withdrawl fees apply to all savings accounts.

Sales tax will be charged on all fees assessed on checking accounts.
